Functional Manual Therapy

At Untapped Potential PT, all of our physical therapists are trained to provide Functional Manual Therapy® (FMT), an “integrated evaluation and treatment system that promotes optimum human performance by enhancing total body mobility and CoreFirst® postural and movement strategies.”

Soft Tissue Mobilization/Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)

Utilizing our hands or specialized tools, we create flexibility in the fascial system, scar tissue, and muscles.

Trigger Point Dry Needling

Inserting small-filament needles into muscles to connect with myofascial trigger points (hyperirritable, taut bands within muscle tissue).  Trigger Point Dry Needling can result in decreased pain, increased flexibility, and increased strength of the muscle treated.

Joint, Neural, and Visceral Mobilization

Skilled passive movement of articular (joint), vascular, respiratory, urogenital, digestive, lymphatic, and nervous system structures to decrease pain and increase flexibility.

Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation

Decreasing pain and improving the strength and function of the muscles that support the bladder, urethra, and other organs located within the bony pelvis.

Therapeutic Exercise and custom home exercise programming

We design specific, customized exercise programs for our patients to perform in our clinic gym and at home.
